Inspirational school sport is back for 2017!

This is half term Year 5 will be having coaching from Timperley Hockey and Lacrosse clubs. Year 4 are excited to begin their swimming sessions with Rebecca Adlingtons Swimstars programme. We also have Total Gymnastics, an organisation formed by Beth Tweddle, who will deliver gymnastics to Reception and Year 3.

Huge thanks to Shewa Dance school for our fantastic dance morning with KS2. Everyone loved the sessions. Shewa Dance Club is a local club welcoming all new interested dancers. They even run an art and craft club too! See Mr Codd if you want further details.

In the second half of the Autumn half term, we have continued to develop our PE skills with expert coaches. We had a fantastic assembly from The Manchester Storm Ice hockey club (see photos) they are also providing exciting floorball lessons to Year 4. Year 4 are also developing their football skills with coaches and players from Altrincham FC. Year 1 and 2 are loving their Zumba sessions provided by 'I Love Fitness MCR.' Year 6 continue to develop their hockey abilities with the help of a coach from Timperley Hockey club, as well as lacrosse from Timperley Lacrosse Club. This is helping them in their monthly inter school competitions.

This year in PE, we are delighted to be working with local sporting clubs to deliver high quality PE coaching to children. In the first Autumn half term we had tennis coaching from Heyes Grove tennis club for our Reception classes. Altrincham Football Club delivered football sessions for our Year 1/2 classes, including coaching from former pupil and current Altrincham FC player Sam Heathcote. Timperley Hockey Club have provided coaching for year 6 in anticipation of the tournaments we will be involved in. Finally Years 3 and 5 have enjoyed Yoga sessions from Red Sky Yoga. Keep checking our page to see who we will be working with in future!
